Alliance Health Centers recognized as 2023 Bronze Health Center Quality Leader
FORT WAYNE, IND. – DEC. 14, 2023 – Alliance Health Centers has received national recognition for providing quality care.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, through the Health Resources and Services Administration, recently awarded Alliance Health Centers with a Bronze Health Center Quality Leader badge for achievements in improving health outcomes and providing high-quality care for patients in rural and underserved communities.
The Community Health Quality Recognition badge program honors health centers across the country that have attained the best overall clinical quality performance. The program recognizes outstanding performance in a variety of clinical areas, including behavioral health, maternal health, diabetes health, heart health, cancer screening, and HIV prevention and care, as well as overall quality performance.
To earn Health Center Quality Leader badges, health centers must have the best overall clinical quality measures performance based on average 2022 Adjusted Quartile Rankings. Badges are awarded to health centers with Adjusted Quartile Rankings in the top three tiers (top 30%).
“We don’t work for recognition, but it is incredible to know that we rank in the top 30% of health centers for our clinical performance,” said Dr. Eric Shoemaker, medical director of Alliance Health Centers. “We are incredibly proud of our team, and this award is a direct result of their commitment to impacting our community by providing access to high-quality, affordable care.”
Alliance Health Centers is a non-profit community health center and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Look-Alike, offering primary care, behavioral health and OB/GYN services. Its first clinic opened in December of 2020 inside Lafayette Medical Center, 2700 Lafayette St., Suite 110, Fort Wayne. Earlier this year, a second location was opened inside The Rescue Mission, 404 E. Washington Blvd.
